History

Buckinghamshire (Bucks) is home to Dorney Rowing lake - on a spit of land surrounded by Berkshire. The County Town is Aylesbury whilst the largest Town is Milton Keynes, famed for its plastic cows.

The name Buckinghamshire is Anglo-Saxon in origin and means The district (scire) of Bucca's home. Bucca's home refers to Buckingham in the north of the county, and is named after an Anglo-Saxon landowner. The county has been so named since about the 12th century; however, the county itself has existed since it was a subdivision of the kingdom of Mercia (585–919). (Source Wikipedia)

We have 2 restaurants, our brand new West 0°36 restaurant offers steaks, fish and grills in easy and informal surroundings blending a traditional restaurant with a modern vibrant grill. With a relaxed service, a regularly changing special, traditional breads and your choice of steak by breed of cattle along with modern food presentation we aim to create a unique atmosphere. We have a great beer menu and a good selection of well priced wines. Our Retrouve Restaurant has a relaxed and informal setting, offering a mouth-watering selection of dishes, at reasonable prices. The menu is changed regularly and we offer a specially selected menu at weekends designed to offer a speedy and efficient service. We also offer a childrens buffet at the hotel which is dependent on the number of junior guests that we have.
 
The Retrouvé Bar is the perfect setting for a lighter meal, offering an extensive lounge menu in an informal and comfortable surrounding. You can enjoy your drinks and cocktails here in the evening and watch the big screen television during sporting events.
 
We have some great benefits with our Club rooms as follows: Upgraded room type , mineral water, complimentary soft drink from in-room mini bar, bathrobe, complimentary wi-fi access throughout your stay, guaranteed table in Retrouve, no tray charge for room service, newspaper of your choice, late 2pm check out and car parking. Please note that for guests paying by cash, we will require a £100 deposit in case of damage.
